Ex-army man murdered

A retired army man was found murdered at Kartikpasha village in Dumki upazila early Monday. The deceased is Md Jamal Hossain Sikder, 50, son of late Abul Hossain Sikder of Kartikpasha village. Police said locals found his body in a farmland in the area and informed the law enforcers. Police went there, recovered the body and sent it to Patuakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy. There was a long-standing conflict between Jamal and his neighbours over a land, said family sources. A murder case was filed in this connection, said Md Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Dumki Police Station.
