Four Jamaat men held

Police arrested four leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami at a house near Fakirganj Bazar in Atwary upazila town of Panchagarh district on Tuesday. The arrestees are Khademul Islam, 45, general secretary of the upazila unit of Jamaat, Mojibar Rahman, 40, president of Toreya union unit of the party, activists Md Ashikullah, 60, and Jahangir Alam, 42. They were arrested on charge of planning subversive activities, said Md Mozaffar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Atwary Police Station.
