Indian held on intrusion charge in Rajshahi

Police arrested an Indian national at Gohamabona village in Poba upazila on charge of entering Bangladesh on Wednesday.

The arrestee is Obaidul Sheikh, 18, son of late Zakir Sheikh of Gopalpur village under Islampur Police Station in Murshidabad district of India.

Police said on secret information, a team of police raided the area and challenged Obaidul while he was moving suspiciously in the area.

After a chase, the law enforcers arrested Obaidul, said Matiar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Poba Police Station.

A case was filed in this connection.
