Jatka seized

A team of coastguard men on patrol on the Kayra River seized four maunds of jatka (hilsa fry less than nine inches in length) yesterday morning. Contingent Commander Manjurul Karim said they searched fishing boats on the river and seized four maunds of jatka from them. The seized jatka were distributed among the orphanages, madrasas, and homes for old people in the city, the commander said.
