Muggers kill youth

Muggers killed a young man at Satrai in Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Jewel, 28, of Barshipora village. Officer-in-Charge of Netrakona Model Police Station Masud Alam said a gang intercepted his motorbike in the area around 11:00pm and tried to take away the vehicle. At one stage, the muggers killed Jewel as he tried to resist them. Police arrested one Farhad and Bashar for their alleged involvement in the killing. A case was filed in this connection, said the OC.
