Robbers loot RMG factory

Robbers looted a huge quantity of fabrics and other valuables worth about Tk two crore from a readymade garment factory at Pashchim Chandora in Kaliakoir upazila of the district on Tuesday night. A gang of 10/15 swooped on Hardy Associates Ltd around 10:30pm and tied security staff Jahangir Hossain, Nibaron Barman and Ahad Ali of the factory. The robbers took away 10-12 tonnes of fabrics, four cutting machines, two sewing machines and other things after beating the staff, said factory sources. Security guard Mohammad Hassan went into hiding soon after the incident, said Rafiqul Islam, manager of the factory. Motiur Rahman, sub-inspector of Kaliakoir Police Station, said they are investigating the matter.
