Schoolgirl abducted in Nilphamari

Criminals abducted a 12-year-old schoolgirl from Ramdanga village in Dimla upazila on Friday night.

Locals and family sources said one Jahangir Hossain, 18, of the village along with his accomplices often teased the sixth grader on her way to school.

The victim's mother then informed the village leaders about the matter which angered Jahangir.

A gang allegedly led by Jahangir attacked the house of the girl at around 11:30pm on Friday and abducted her.

The father of the girl filed a case with Dimla Police Station yesterday, accusing six people in this connection.

The accused are Jahangir, Rafizul Islam, 20, Shamim, 18, Aliraj Hossain, 14, Russel Hossain, 25, and Hamidul Islam, 20.
