Trader robbed of Tk 64 lakh

Criminals took away Tk 64 lakh from a crockery trader at Jhilpara in Gobindaganj upazila of the district on Friday night. Officer-in-Charge Jahidul Islam of Gobindaganj Police Station said a gang intercepted crockery trader Kamal Hossain when he along with his brother-in-law Liton was going to his house in the area around 10:00pm. They snatched a bag containing Tk 64 lakh from Kamal and stabbed Liton as he tried to resist the gang members. Police arrested three people-Manik, Pervez and Murad--for their alleged involvement in the incident.
