Two held with 31,000 Yaba pills

Police arrested two people from Oliabad area near the Naf River in Teknaf upazila under the district and seized 31,000 pieces of Yaba tablets, a knife, one light gun and 17 bullets from their possession early Wednesday. Identity of the arrestees could not be known immediately. Officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station Ataur Rahman Khandakar said on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo at about 4:30am. The law enforcers also recovered 31,000 pieces of Yaba tablet, one knife, one light gun and 17 bullets from their possession. A case was filed in this connection.
