Two men stabbed

Two people were stabbed allegedly by a suspended district information officer in the town yesterday. The injured are Abdul Hannan, 60, and his associate Jahangir Alam, 45. They were admitted to Khagrachhari Adhunik Sadar Hospital. The accused, Md Anwar Hossain, became mentally ill after languishing in jail for six months in a murder case, said police. Anwar attacked the duo with sharp weapons on the District and Sessions Judge's Court premises around 11:00am, leaving them injured. A case was filed in this connection, said Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Muhammad Samsuddin Bhuiyan.
