Youth held with arms, ammo

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel in a drive arrested a youth along with pistols and bullets from Kaliganj Choumohani area in Shibganj upazila on Saturday. The arrested is Mohammad Shahin, 35, son of Mohammad Israil of Jaminpur village in the upazila. ASP Alok Biswas of Chapainawabganj camp of Rab-5 said, a team of the elite force, acting on a tip-off, raided the area around 6:00pm and arrested Shahin. They also seized two pistols, four magazines and eleven bullets from his possession. In primary interrogation, Shahin admitted his involvement in arms peddling business for the last couple of years.
