Courage and grace in defeat

Courage and grace in defeat

I write this letter following Bangladesh's defeat to Afghanistan and the exciting win by Pakistan over India. Ziaur Rahman, well done for all those sixes and boundaries you hit and you almost salvaged a victory for your team when risk and courage were needed at that time. The only thing separating you from Afridi is that you had a higher mountain to climb. Rubel Hossain, for some reason you always seem to be batting at the death. You rotated the crease with Zia like an opener. By the way, do not think it went unnoticed when you blocked six consecutive balls from Malinga in an earlier ODI. With a little batting practice, you could become an all-rounder. Well done, Rubel, for routinely taking the wickets of players like Sangakara and Kohli. Virat Kohli, you captained two narrow losses to Sri Lanka and Pakistan. However, after both matches you did not criticize any of your players by name, but instead praised what was praiseworthy in your team. I thank you three gentlemen for your courage and grace in defeat.
