Indian actress Sreeja Dutta makes Bangladesh OTT debut with ‘Tajmahal’
Indian actress Sreeja Dutta is set to make her Bangladesh OTT debut with the upcoming web film “Tajmahal”, directed by filmmaker Wahid Anam, who returns to direction after more than a decade away from the medium.
The project brings together Bangladeshi newcomer Foyjul Yamin and Sreeja Dutta in the lead roles, marking a cross-border collaboration between Bangladesh and India.
Sreeja Dutta is known for her work in the film “Bhagha Jatin”, where she appeared opposite Dev in her big-screen debut. She later featured in “Tekka” and the Hoichoi web series “Nishir Daak”.
Director Wahid Anam, previously active in television drama and advertising, has been away from mainstream directing for over ten years. “Tajmahal” marks his return to long-form storytelling.
On May 17, the filmmaker released a promotional poster that initially kept the cast identities undisclosed, inviting audiences to guess the lead actors. The names were later revealed through an official announcement on social media.
According to the director, the web film is a cross-border love story built around separation, exploring whether emotional connection can survive across a barbed-wire divide.
“Tajmahal” is expected to release during the upcoming Eid season.
