Ace sportsman Ranjan pays musical tribute to father Prabal Chowdhury

On the occasion of the 75th birthday of the late Prabal Chowdhury, a renowned artist of the "Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra", his son musician Ranjan Chowdhury has released a song titled "Akash Tole Tumi Tumi". Subhamita Banerjee, another popular artist from Kolkata, has given voice to the song.

Ranjan is known as Manash Chowdhury in the sports arena, as he bagged 5 national table tennis titles in Bangladesh. He is a dental surgeon by his profession.

"This song is a 75th birthday tribute to his father. It was recorded in Kolkata's Vibrations studio," said Ranjan. "My father is a renowned artiste, but few remember him on his birthdays. I wanted to pay tribute to him on this day."

The song has jointly been composed by Sabyasachi Roni and Sudipta Saha. Ranjan says that if his father were alive today, he would have been proud of his singing prowess.
