Minar’s new track ‘Maya’ explores love and forgiveness
Singer-songwriter Minar Rahman has released a brand new song titled “Maya”, which premiered on YouTube yesterday, already drawing attention from listeners for its deeply reflective theme and heartfelt composition.
Minar himself has written the lyrics, composed the tune, arranged the chords and structure, and lent his voice to the song. The music arrangement has been done by Mehedi Hassan Tamjid, while the mixing and mastering were handled by Anik Ahammed. The lyrics video has been created by Gowtom Dasgupta.
Sharing the essence behind the song, Minar described “Maya” as a reflection of the invisible emotional threads that bind human life together. He expressed that, at the end of the day, people live within the pull of “maya”, a force that shapes love, memories, resilience, and the ability to rise again after setbacks.
According to the artiste, “Maya” represents a strange yet beautiful state of being surrounded by affection, illusion, and life’s ongoing struggles. It speaks of finding strength when life pushes one against the wall, and of the quiet pull that calls people back “home”, both emotionally and spiritually.
Minar also highlighted forgiveness as a central theme in the song, calling the act of forgiving, and being able to forgive, one of the most powerful and beautiful human traits. Through “Maya”, he explores how this emotion guides people even through uncertainty and loneliness, ultimately helping them move forward.
Ending on a hopeful note, the singer shared his wish that listeners will connect with the song, sending his love to everyone.
