Shafiul Badsha wins Magic Bauliana 2022
Folk music reality show "Magic Bauliana 2022" staged the grand finale of its fourth season at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon. Dhaka's Shafiul Badsha came out on top, as the champion, while Fokir Chan, from Netrokona, took second place. Arnab Bhattacharya of Brahmanbaria went home with the third place position, at the coveted competition.
The event was sponsored by Square Toiletries Limited, while the programme was broadcasted on Maasranga Television under the initiative of Sun Foundation.

Shafiul Badsha received a cheque of BDT 500,000, while the second and third place winners were awarded BDT 300,000 and BDT 200,000, respectively. Apart from the top 3 winners, Saiful Islam, Arpa Khondokar Chadni and Oyshee Rani Dristi made top six in the competition.
The winner, Shafiul Badsha was eliminated during the audition round of the competition. However, he would return as a 'wild card' entrant and go on to win the top prize.
More than 50,000 contestants from all over the country participated in the seven-month long competition. The esteemed judges selected the best contestants by marking them in the categories of rhythm, melody, pronunciation and singing. Folk singers Baul Shafi Mondol, Shahnaz Beli and Arif Dewan served as the judges of the competition.
With the intent of strengthening the future generations connection with folk music, special guest and singer, Runa Laila unveiled the cover of a book "Magic Bauliana Poribeshito Lokoganer Shuddho Shonkolon-1".
Popular actress and dancer, Sadia Islam Mou performed a special dance sequence at the event. Noted actor, Chanchal Chowdhury also sang at the final along with the top six participants.
