Did Tom Hanks lose his temper at Cannes?
Social media was flooded with pics of Tom Hanks losing his cool at a Cannes staff on the red carpet premiere of his film "Asteroid City". He appeared to seem irritated over the staff and the whole moment was captured by the paparazzi.
The Oscar winner, 66, and his wife, Rita Wilson, also 66, looked flustered during the whole event.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. At one point, it appeared that Hanks was pointing at the other man's face, while Wilson was seen lifting a hand, as if trying to interrupt what the man was saying.
Wilson has now taken to social media to clear the air.
She captioned a photo of the incident, "This is called 'I can't hear you. People are yelling. What exactly did you say? Are we supposed to go?"
Rita added: "We had a great time. Go see Asteroid City!"
The other man in the photos, Vincent Chapalain, has recently published a similar account on his own social media.
One of his friends commented on Vincent's post. What actually happened and he replied that they asked whether they can go back to the start of the mat with the rest of the film crew and that he was not a security there.
Tom co-stars in Wes Anderson's new film "Asteroid City" with Scarlett Johansson, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, and Bryan Cranston.
Tom's supporters won't be surprised to learn that there wasn't even a speck of drama on Tuesday's red carpet, given that he's universally considered one of the nicest people in Hollywood.
