“EU leaders look for answers”

This refers to your online report of May 28. Has the European Union lost its charm for Europeans? There seems to be no easy answer. If the victory of some political parties in nations like the UK and France are considered, even then one cannot say that they are against European Union. People are against austerity policies of their governments in countries like Greece and Spain. The European Union has its advantages like no requirement of visa for going to one country from another, and a common currency Euro. The EU leaders should first form a separate defense force and be independent of NATO, as NATO is no longer relevant after the break-up of Soviet Union. Instead of dismantling individual austerity measures, there should be a common social security system for the Europeans.
