Ok, let them continue with this strike forever. Because the outcome is very clear and simple: the consumers aren't going to die because of not eating adulterated fruits, but the fruit traders will surely starve to death if the consumers don't buy their products just for a couple of months.

Yes please, go on with your strike! We don't need to have fruits if those are poisonous. Let's see who loses when you go on strike!

I would rather not eat fruits at all than eat poisoned ones. I don't care if the traders call a strike so that they may continue selling chemically ripened fruits. I support the anti-formalin drive.

Restrictions have to be imposed on the import and distribution of formalin. I am sure formalin is easily available to the unscrupulous traders.

This episode of strike by the fruit traders shows how difficult it is to govern Bangladesh. The traders are allegedly being harassed by the law enforcing agencies. So, the government must monitor the actions of law enforcers and make sure they don't enrich themselves in this process.

In the western countries, grocery stores use cooler and other healthy preservatives to store and keep fruits fresh. However, fruits are not supposed to be kept for too long in storage. You should buy them and eat them as quickly as possible. I think it is very appropriate to make the selling and earning of any profit completely out of reach of these criminal fruit traders who deliberately use the deadly chemical. Let the nation stop buying fruits for long enough until these traders are forced to stop using unhealthy chemicals.
