‘Slit-throat’ body of woman found in Dhaka

Police recovered the “slit-throat” body of a woman in her apartment in Tolarbagh area of Dhaka’s Darussalam this evening.

The deceased has been identified as Marium Begum, 42, a housekeeper at Dhaka Nursing College, Selimuzzaman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Darussalam Police Station, told The Daily Star.

On information, police found the “slit-throat” body lying on the floor of her apartment on the 5th floor of the eight-storey building around 7:00pm, the OC said. 

The body was taken to the police station later.

Marium left behind her husband, a government official, and two children who are medical students.
