AUST Students Shortlisted for Prestigious 2021 Hult Prize US1M Challenge Award

The Hult Prize Foundation announced that SOYNIC, a soya protein food brand planned by the team Gambit has been shortlisted for the 2021 Hult Prize US1M Challenge regional final round. Md. Sabit Shahriar Haque, Snehashis Roy, Tahsin Rahman and Tofiquel Haque Toha are the members of Team Gambit of Ahsanullah University. In partnership with the United Nations Office of Partnerships, the Hult Prize Foundation organizes the world’s largest startup program aimed at social impact. It offers a grand startup prize of US$1,000,000 awarded by President Bill Clinton at the United Nations Headquarters on an annual basis. Their Team Gambit has beaten the odds, outperforming a record number of 350,000 program participants who began the journey this past fall. “It’s an amazing experience being selected for the next round, and we truly believe our idea can and will change the world”, said SOYNIC team member Snehashis.

IDLC Finance Limited & UNICEF Pledges to Improve Maternal, Neonatal Health and Nutrition of Seven Tea Gardens in Sylhet

IDLC Finance Limited and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) signed a memorandum of understanding on March 10th, 2021 to improve maternal, neonatal health rights and nutrition in the tea gardens of Sylhet. Under this partnership, IDLC will support renovation of the tea gardens’ health facility with water and sanitation and hygiene (WASH) block and provide necessary medical equipment’s and logistics in seven tea gardens. UNICEF will ensure capacity building of the tea garden health service providers with necessary training in order to connect the tea gardens’ health facilities with the government system for better services and sustainability.

TrailBlazer, the signature event of Bangladesh Agricultural University Career Club takes place with the participation of the students of Bangladesh Agricultural University funded by the Dutch project “Development of an Entrepreneurial Eco-System at BAU”.
