Hogwarts is here, literally this time. Or rather, virtually. It has been seven years since the last Harry Potter book came out and three years since the last movie, however, that hasn't stopped the Harry Potter phenomenon from still continuing to grow.
Hogwartsishere.com is the dream of everyone born into the Harry Potter generation. The website is created and run by fans with no affiliation with J.K. Rowling or Warner Bros.
Your registration at Hogwartsishere.com (which from here on out will be referred to as the Virtual Hogwarts) begins with that acceptance letter that you have been waiting on since you were ten years old. Once registered, the Virtual Hogwarts lets you choose your own Hogwarts House because the Sorting Hat has clearly grown a bit lazy. This is where Virtual Hogwarts becomes the actual Hogwarts. Which means: You have to study!
As a first year student, you have your courses decided and the courses are pretty difficult. Virtual Hogwarts actually requires you to do homework and write essays. It even has chat rooms referred to as “dorms” where you can interact with other students and hopefully get some help with that homework you're struggling with. And struggling you will be, for the professors, who are all fans themselves, are not as lenient with grades as you'd hope they would be. In fact, the professors take their roles quite seriously, even helping students who are struggling in class through emails (or “electronic owl posts”) and taking on assistants.

Other than helping you appreciate Harry and Ron's complaints about their homework, this website is a testament to the devotion fans have to these beloved series.
Now with the various fan websites and fiction that will continue to fuel the Harry Potter phenomenon, a little tweaking of that famous J.K Rowling quote is required:
“Whether you come back by page or by the big screen or fan-made websites; Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home.”
