Over the Rainbow

Chittagong. A rainbow adorns the sky over the port city of Chittagong in Bangladesh after severe depression over the city the previous night, due to Cyclone Hudhud on the eastern coast of India.

Just Punishment

Patuakhali. Around 30,000 metres current nets, seized by coastguards and fisheries officials during anti-hilsa netting drives at Gazaria point of River Meghna, were burnt. A section of fishermen insist on catching hilsa in different rivers despite drives against netting the fish.

Raising the Nets

Leyte, Philippines. Philippine fishermen raise an empty fishing net in a bay at Anibong on the eastern island of Leyte, which was devastated in 2013 by typhoon Haiyan.
