House help’s body found in Dhaka

Police today recovered the body of a house help from a ditch in Taltola of Dhaka's Dakkhinkhan area.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Dakkhinkhan Police Station Rezia Khatun said the body of the house help -- Tamanna alias Maina (15) -- was recovered from a ditch near Nardapara Rupali Garden around 10:00am.

Maina had been working as a house help for two years on the third floor of a seven-storey building next to the waterbody. Like every day, Maina went to the building's rooftop to water the trees today morning, the SI said quoting residents at the building.

Several people, including the housewife, have been brought to the police station for questioning, the SI said, adding that the body will be sent to Suhrawardy Medical College morgue for autopsy.
