Innovative village mechanic

The very interesting report by Islam and Rahman from Charsuknagari village of Madanganj upazila in Jamalpur, published on 28th March, is an outstanding example of innovation and ingenuity. All credit goes to Rabiul Islam, a village mechanic, who discovered natural gas bubbling from underground and used it for irrigating his fields. Such innovation from a self-trained mechanic in a remote village is something to celebrate.
