Kindergarten students burdened with books

Kindergarten students burdened with books

In urban areas private kindergarten schools have mushroomed over the years. As there is no specific government regulations about the kindergarten education system, most of these schools seem to run on commercial basis and as per individual whims and wishes.
In the kindergarten system, before studying in class one, a student has to pass three years in playgroup, nursery and KG. Students have to get admitted every year by paying hefty admission fees and various charges. The number of books even in the primary classes is often 12 to 15, which the students are forced to buy from the schools. Some of these books are not only unnecessary but also not suitable for the students considering their age. Education ministry should take these matters into account and take necessary steps to rectify the system.
