If you're navigating Dhaka streets, you need to know who's the Big Boss and who's the 'mama'. Basically, you need to know your station and act accordingly. For example, if you're on a bike, trying to mess with the real 'rasta-r raja' would be suicidal. Yes, on Dhaka streets you are what you drive/ride.
In our education system, the focus remains on academic writing. As important as that is, the system does not do enough to encourage creative writing. Thankfully, it's not all doom and gloom. SPEED Youth organised a workshop on creative writing for 123 students from 8 schools in Dhaka. Naturally SHOUT felt the need to partner up and in this issue of Fable Factory we present the 6 best short stories from the workshop.
