Main causes of road accidents

I would like to draw the government's attention to the factors due to which majority of the road traffic crashes occur. The most significant of those is reckless drivers with illegal licenses. Then comes the poorly lit streets. In Dhaka, majority of the roads have energy-saving street lights which keep the streets almost dark at night. Drivers choose to switch on high beam lights making matters worse for other drivers on the road. These energy saving lights should be replaced with good halogen lights so that drivers can see clearly. Very few streets are now left with halogen lights and street reflectors, which we previously had and were appropriate for road traffic safety, but now they have vanished mysteriously.
