The people of India wanted a change and they voted for Narendra Modi as their PM. The secret of Modi's success is agricultural development in Gujarat.
During Modi's rule in Gujarat, agriculture sector received top priority. Agricultural productivity was boosted to raise socio-economic status of the farming community. Modi took a number of pragmatic measures including development of irrigational facilities, adoption of new technologies for agriculture. He successfully introduced the Soil Health Card scheme which helped farmers to apply proper agricultural methods by retaining/ improving soil fertility. Apart from agricultural development, Modi also brought development in the manufacturing sector along with employment generation. He stressed market-centric policy to promote self-reliance.
It is expected that during Modi's tenure, his agricultural model will be replicated in all the states to increase agricultural productivity.
