Two brothers murdered

Criminals killed two brothers in a jungle at Muchhni village under Nila Union of Teknaf upazila on Sunday and took away their cows. The dead are Jahangir Hossain, 10, and Faruq Hossain, 8. Police and locals said Jahangir and Faruq, sons of Jahir Ahmed of Muchhni village, took their two cows to the jungle for grazing on Sunday morning. As the two siblings did not return with the cows until evening, the family members and locals started searching for them and found the bodies near Tunna Chhara (natural canal) yesterday morning. Being informed, Teknaf police went to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent them to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Local union parishad member Abul Manzur said the miscreants slit the throats of the two boys probably early morning as blood was oozing from their necks. No case was filed with Teknaf Police Station as of 6:00pm yesterday.
