5 alleged razakars sued

A case was filed against five people on Tuesday on charge of killing 14 freedom fighters at Naruli in Sadar upazila during the War of Liberation in 1971. Sajeda Khatun, wife of martyred freedom fighter Ismail Hossain alias Bulu, filed the case with the district judicial magistrate's court. In her complaint, Sajeda said, the 'razakars', led by Abdul Majid,70, and Nizam Sheikh,65, caught the 14 freedom fighters including her husband from the area on April 14, 1971. Later, they shot them dead near Naruli rail crossing. The court directed the officer-in-charge of Sadar police station to record the case and take legal action after necessary investigation.
