Housewife murdered

A housewife was killed by criminals at her house at Sobhanpara village in Amtali upazila early Sunday. The deceased was identified as Piyara Begum, 30, wife of day-labourer Faruk Mia. Police said Piyara Begum along with her two children and sister-in-law Minara Begum went to bed at night. But late at night Minara woke up from slumber hearing the cry of her nephew. Later, she found the blood-stained body of Piyara in the room. Hearing her hue and cry locals rushed in and informed the police of local Taltali police station. Police sent the body to hospital morgue for autopsy. During the incident the victim's husband was in his workplace in Mongla in Bagerhat.
