Fire at BIWTA ship
Furniture and other valuables of Sandhani, a ship of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), were burnt in a fire at Matlaghat adjacent to the district launch terminal yesterday noon.
The fire originated from an electrical short circuit. Fire fighters doused the fire after an hour-long effort.
