BCL cadres rob 2 Ctg polytech students
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) cadres robbed two students of Chittagong Polytechnic Institute after injuring them at Nasirabad in the port city yesterday.
The victims were identified as Rifat Al Faisal, 22, a final year student of Electrical Engineering Department, and Osman Gani, 18, a second year student of Civil Construction Department.
Witnesses said a group of BCL cadres attacked Faisal and Gani with rods and hockey-sticks at about 1:45pm while they were returning to their hostel after saying Juma prayers at a local mosque.
The attackers beat them mercilessly and took away their mobile phone sets and cash money.
The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
