School students visit int'l crimes tribunal
Around 150 students of 19 schools of Kishoreganj yesterday visited the international crimes tribunal in the Old High Court Building in the city for holding trial of 1971 war criminals.
The students accompanied by teachers met the tribunal's chairman Justice Md Nizamul Huq, chief prosecutor Golam Arif Tipu and chief investigator MA Matin yesterday afternoon.
Advocate Zead-Al Malum, who was present at the meeting, yesterday told The Daily Star that the students visited the international crimes tribunal only just from their curiosity, which is a message that the new generation is very eager to see the trial of war criminals.
He said the students also met President Zillur Rahman at Bangabhaban.
Earlier, they visited the Liberation War Museum and National Museum in the city, Malul added.
