DU students demand publication of results
The law students of Dhaka University yesterday formed a human chain and also vandalised pots of flower plants at the department demanding immediate publication of the results of their year-end examinations.
Over 200 students, who sat for their second, third and fourth year-ending examinations last year, organised the programme on the faculty premises around 12:00 noon.
The students of three sessions at the law department finished their year-end examinations in July and August last year but did not get their results in the last eight months.
The 2nd year students under session 2006-07 finished their year-end exams in July 2009 while the students of third and fourth years completed their exams in July and August last year respectively.
Later, the agitating students ransacked around 20 pots of flower plants on a corridor of the department.
Law Faculty Dean Dr Borhan Uddin Khan said, "The results would be published within April 20."
