Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday reiterated her strong directive to the power ministry and all departments concerned for gearing up their activities to ease public sufferings from power shortage. She reiterated her order when State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Enamul Huq went to Ganobhaban to greet her on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh, the first day of Bengali year 1417. The prime minister inquired about the latest situation in the country's power sector from the state minister. “I want to see people are free from sufferings due to the long-standing electricity crisis,” she was quoted by her Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad as saying. Hasina told the state minister that the people have given great responsibility on the present Awami League-led government to serve them. “Now it is our sacred duty to free them from all problems including the power crisis,” she said.
