Apu Islam, a seven-year-old boy, has been suffering from blood cancer since October 2009, says a press release. He has been under treatment of Dr Md Belayet Hossain, Assistant Professor, Department of Haemato-Oncology, Dhaka Shishu Hospital. He is now receiving regular chemotherapy treatment, which will continue for two more years. But his family could not afford such an expensive treatment. His father Md Bashir Uddin Ahmed has appealed to generous people to extend a helping hand to save the boy's life.
