Huji boss on fresh remand
The UK unit chief of banned Islamist outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami Bangladesh Golam Mostofa was taken on a fresh five-day remand by detective branch (DB) of police yesterday.
Assistant Commissioner ASM Rafiqul Islam of DB told The Daily Star on completion of a four-day remand they produced Bangladesh-born British citizen Mostofa before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's court seeking remand for 10 days and the court granted for five days.
He was taken on the fresh remand in a separate case filed on Tuesday with Hazaribagh Police Station under Anti-terrorism Act 2009.
