Rehana's daughter Tulip elected Regent's Park Councillor

Rezwana Siddiq Tulip, eldest daughter of Sheikh Rehana and granddaughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was elected a councillor of the Regent's Park ward in the UK election on Thursday. She contested the election as a Labour party candidate, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Deputy Press Secretary Mahbubul Hoque Shakil told The Daily Star yesterday. Regent's Park is a suburb of Southampton in England. Tulip is also the national BAME officer for Young Labour.
