Fake sub-judge arrested
A garment worker was arrested in the city yesterday on charges of committing fraud by falsely identifying himself as a sub-judge of Dinajpur.
Posing as a sub-judge, Faizur Rahman of Shologhar village in Munshiganj tried to meet a High Court judge to pursue a case, but the Supreme Court (SC) authorities caught him on suspicion and handed him over to the Shahbagh police.
Acting SC Registrar M Atowar Rahman told The Daily Star that such incident did not take place in this court earlier.
Faizur Rahman, escorted by police, told reporters at Atowar's office that he is actually an assistant production manager of a garments factory of Daffodils Group, and he did a mistake by identifying himself a sub-judge.
