Schoolboy killed in road crash

A schoolboy was killed and five others injured in a road accident at Matherhat on Gaibandha-Palashbari road yesterday afternoon. Following the accident, angry locals put up a barricade on the highway, disrupting vehicular movement for an hour. The victim was identified as Nazmul Islam, 12, a student of class six. The accident took place when a Gaibandha-bound minibus knocked the rickshaw van he was traveling in. Five other passengers of the rickshaw van were also injured.
