Charge framed against DCC engineer
A Dhaka court yesterday framed charge against Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Superintendent Engineer Mohammad Faruk Aziz in connection with a case filed against him for brandishing a firearm at his boss in September last year.
Faruk Aziz pleaded not guilty and demanded justice before the court after Metro-politan Magistrate Shamima Parveen read out the charge to him.
The court fixed July 6 for trial of the case and summoned complainant to appear before it on the scheduled date.
Rapid Action Battalion arrested Faruk Aziz from Sheikhertek, Mohammadpur on September 29 last year after the DCC chief engineer's staff officer filed a general diary with Shahbagh Police Station the same day in this regard.
