Plundering trees

Cutting down trees on a large scale countywide is not new, but very recently it has drawn the attention of the people. For a few months the reports published on plundering of a huge number of trees have been trying to draw the notice of the authorities concerned. But the outcome is unclear. Without the interference of the respective ministry it is quite impossible for the law enforcers to take stern actions against the grabbers of the forests. It is claimed by some people that with the assistance of some dishonest forest officers of the govt. wood traders are running their illegal business and making the environment vulnerable. So, the time has come for the govt. to take effective measures against the plunderers.
