Azad urges S Arabia to recruit more manpower

Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad yesterday urged Saudi Arabia to recruit more doctors, engineers, paramedics, information technology experts and other skilled manpower from Bangladesh. He made the call when Saudi Ambassador Dr Abdullah Bin Al Busairi called on him at his office. They discussed issues relating to bilateral interest during the meeting, said an official release. The minister sought cooperation of the envoy for joint venture investments in trade and education sectors. He appreciated the leading role of Saudi Arabia in establishing peace in the Muslim world. The Saudi envoy said the friendly relations between the two countries are consolidating day by day. Saudi Arabia gives special importance to its ties with Bangladesh, he added. He invited the minister to attend the first international conference on `Architectural heritage in Islamic countries and its role in the cultural and economic development.'
