Barisal court asks law enforcers to produce reports on Aug 26

A Barisal court yesterday asked the law enforcers to produce on August 26 the police inquest and autopsy reports of Majnu Kha and Kalam Sarder killed in a gunfight with Rab at Muladi upazila in the district. Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Altaf Hossain passed the order upon a complaint filed with the court by Majnu's sister Rina Khan on July 7. In her complaint, Rina accused 30 persons including Rab-8 Commander Lt Col Monirul Haq and number one Company Commander Rashedul Haq. She alleged Majnu had a land dispute with his rivals who bribed Rab into killing her brother. Rina said she lodged the complaint with the court as she failed to file a case with Muladi police station. Rab said Majnu and Kalam were the two robbers in the area killed in a "shootout" on July 5 midnight. The court fixed August 26 for next hearing.
