Malik Majeed passes away
Malik Majeed, a noted film director and producer, breathed his last due to prolonged illness at United Hospital in the city on Monday, says a press release.
Malik Majeed set up Eastern Theatres (now Bari Studio), the first private motion picture studio of Bangladesh.
He was buried at his family graveyard at Ashulia in Savar after namaz-e-janaza at Gulshan and Siddheswary in the city.
Relatives, friends and well-wishers are requested to pray for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Malik Majeed produced and directed many films including Matir Pahar, Raja Elo Shohorey, Duranta Durbar, Isha Khan, Noder Chand, Asha, Eteem, Raja Shaheb and many other films.
