Minimum RMG wage

It is commendable that the government has declared a minimum salary structure for our poor garment workers. But before we make a big deal out of this, there is something very important that we all need to remember: this is Bangladesh! We all know how things are done in Bangladesh, don't we? I am sure there will be many factory owners/managers who will refuse to pay the minimum salary and if any workers protest they will be silenced by intimidation or dismissal. Announcement was the easiest part, implementing it would be the real task.
