Online gate pass for sectt visitors
The finance division and home ministry are scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today in a bid to provide gate pass online for the visitors to secretariat, says a press release.
Mohammad Nazrul Islam Khan, national project director of Access to Information (A2I) programme; Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, joint secretary to finance ministry; and Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, joint secretary to home ministry, would sign the MoU at the Prime Minister's Office at 3:00pm.
The press release said visitors to secretariat were currently given a slip containing name, designation and address, which was time-consuming and liable to lack transparency.
Moreover, people are now required to fill in a treasury chalan form at the concerned bank for getting government services on tax or various fee submissions. The procedure causes waste of time and money. The system online would extend scopes of submitting money using short message service (SMS) and Internet.
