1 killed in road accident
A motorcyclist was killed and another person injured yesterday in a road accident at west side of Bangabandhu Jamuna Bridge at Mulabari in Sirajganj district.
The deceased was identified as Ayub Ali, 40, a resident of Saydabad Rehabilitation centre of the district. The seriously wounded Dulal, 35, of the same area was admitted to Sirajganj General Hospital.
Police said the accident occurred as a Bogra-bound truck hit the motorcycle at Mulabari while it was going to Sirajganj.
Police recovered Ayub's body from the spot and sent it to Sirajganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed with Bangabandhu Jamuna Bridge,West Police Station in this connection.
